Veterans of the American Legion Post 1—chartered in 1919—expressed their thanks to the Robert Evans Company and some of their subcontractors for a $7,000 donation of labor and materials to revitalize the lounge and dining areas.
"Words cannot express our gratitude," says Adjuntant Richard Kemp. "This is a tremendous transformation to our post, improving morale and making it a more attractive place for our members. We expect to see an increase in membership as a result, thanks to Anita and her crew."
President/Owner of Robert Evans Company, Anita Hettum said helping the veterans with their meeting place and with covering some publishing costs of the post's calendar project, was "a true honor for our company".
The American Legions Post 1 and the Robert Evans Company share not only a commitment to American veterans, but to the longevity of their organizations. Post 1 was chartered in 1919 and the Robert Evans Company holds one of the longest held contractor's licenses in the state of Oregon.

Press Release:
Bucking Economy, REC Moves To The Pearl/Expands Services

Congratulations to Tinitron—the world’s leading manufacturer of building and manufacturing-grade transformers. Robert Evans Company helped this valued Washington County employer find the right land and build a new facility in the Westmark Development. Tinitron’s 28,000 square foot building is the first concrete tilt building to go up in Washington County in several years.

We’ve never had a deadline like this before! REC had an unusual request when we first met with Tinitron owner, Tinny Srinivasan: Finish the building in seven months so his twin daughter and son and their fiancés could get married—inside the new facility. Seven months later, the Srinivasan’s welcomed hundreds of family and friends—including REC President/Owner, Anita Hettum—and celebrated the double wedding. More reasons to congratulate the ever expanding Tinitron business—and family!
“The Pearl District Business Association welcomes Robert Evans Company, a unique full service design/build company to the Pearl District. Their addition to the Pearl means that hundreds of businesses and residents who call the Pearl home will now have access to their services and will have the opportunity to work directly with the owners of this 35-year old company. We’re delighted to have them as members of our Association and welcome a company of their reputation and history to the Pearl District.”
