Cornell Building

Therapeutic Associates, an established physical therapy group with clinics throughout the Northwest, found the perfect location for its new clinic in the recently completed, Class A Cornell Building in Hillsboro.

"This office building was actually designed and built to exceed the required building codes," said Project Manager Ed Borowski. "For instance, we used the same engineering standards now used in emergency response facilities like fire and police stations, so the building is prepared to withstand catastrophic events such as earthquakes. I think it gives the tenants extra peace of mind, knowing they're in a quality building and that their businesses will have only minor interruptions if there is a natural disaster."

The 12,000-square-foot building is now a busy medical center, housing Therapeutic Associates, Gentech Dental, Orenco Medical Clinic, and Cornell Dental. Although patients appreciate the tastefully designed maple cabinetry accents, art niches, vaulted ceiling and faux painting, beneath the custom interiors are exacting electrical and mechanical systems required for medical facilities.

Robert Evans Company was well-equipped with the unique experience needed to manage the $1.7 million project from beginning to end—from land acquisition, special zoning requirements, and building of the shell—through new tenant improvements and facility management.

Timothy Brinker of Therapeutic Associates has become a satisfied tenant. "Communication on this project was exceptional," he said. "We're really satisfied with the service we've gotten from Robert Evans Company."

"Everything turned out just as I wanted it."
